Meet the Author
Dr. Charlotte Quinones is an early childhood educator, administrator, researcher, author, and advocate from Camden, New Jersey, with over 20 years of experience in early childhood education. As a Puerto Rican and Muslim woman, Dr. Quinones brings her lived experiences, cultural identity, faith, and professional background into her work with children, families, and educators.
Dr. Quinones earned her undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education, her master’s degree in Educational Psychology, and her doctorate in Educational Leadership, Administration, and Research. Her educational journey reflects her deep commitment to learning, leadership, and creating meaningful opportunities for young children.
Throughout her career, Dr. Quinones has been passionate about helping all children receive the education, care, and support they need and deserve. She believes that early childhood education is more than preparing children for school; it is about helping them build confidence, develop their identity, strengthen social-emotional skills, and gain the foundation they need for lifelong success.
Through Growing with Macho, Dr. Quinones created a children’s book brand that supports young children as they learn about feelings, friendship, confidence, school readiness, problem-solving, and self-discovery. Her goal is to provide families, teachers, and children with stories and resources that nurture the whole child—socially, emotionally, culturally, and academically.
